Key Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with supplier base through face-to-face meetings, emails and telephone calls
Perform inspection of material to ensure quality
Monitor Scrap Metal prices and market trends in order to talk intelligently to suppliers about the market and procure material
Support suppliers in issues they face regarding their orders, in collaboration with the Back Office department
Collaboration with non-metal procurement team in Europe
Qualifications & Competencies
Experience in a similar commercial or logistics role in commodity trading sector
Familiarity with the Metals industry in Europe
Strong commercial acumen / negotiation skills
Availability for international travel
Good numerical skills
Strong attention to detail
Adaptive to change, and ability to work under pressure
Strong decision-making ability
